I race bikes!
I started racing bikes my Freshman year at UNH, in the fall of 2003. I spent two (or so) years as president of the club, helping to organize thirty or so collegiate cyclists every weekend, as well as attempting to promote race weekends. I started racing as a D (the lowest category) on the road my freshman year, and in my senior year raced as an A, representing UNH at Collegiate Nationals (where I promptly got my ass kicked).
Early on, I dabbled in mountain biking, but have since abandoned it, as I grew tired of launching myself off of my bike and into trees. I am now primarily a road and cyclocross racer. I take road racing somewhat seriously, cyclocross less so, but I always make sure to have fun no matter what I'm doing on the bike. Currently, I'm a Category 2 for road and cyclocross.
I now race for NorEast Cycling, a very active club based out of Seacoast New Hampshire. With the club, I have continued my involvement in planning and setting up the Portsmouth and Exeter Criteriums, as well as our annual cyclocross race. My recent results can be found on road-results.com and crossresults.com.
